About
Emily Kennel is a photographer, editor, multimedia specialist and entrepreneur based out of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Emily uses her creative abilities to capture a variety of different subjects in a new and unique light. With over 3 years of experience as a photographer and digital creative, she graduated with a BFA in Intermedia and Photography from West Virginia in May of 2023. Recently she worked as a photography and social media intern for the City of Morgantown, where she most notably photographed and recorded well known and local artists such as Smashmouth, Los Lobos and Home Free at the Ruby Summer Concert Series. She also photographed D1 athletes for West Virginia University’s student led newspaper The Daily Athenaeum, during the 2022-2023 school year. While also being very involved in multiple student led organizations at WVU, she was Head of Photography for Mirage Magazine for over 2 years, where she managed a team of creatives, while also pursuing her own interests in fashion and lifestyle photography. Her interests in a variety of different creative outlets, led to her travels to Italy in the summer of 2022 where she attended Nuova Accademia di Belle Arte (NABA) and learned about fashion styling and photography first hand from Vogue contributing photographer Gianluca Senese. When she’s not capturing new work for clients, she’s most likely learning about different art mediums or watching New Girl.
